RVC and MISIS have formed the educational course “Innovation economy”

The “RVC” and the National University of Science and Technology "Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys" (MISIS) have announced about the educational course’s implementation start in Bachelor's programmes of technology Universities named “Innovation economy”, aimed on upgrading the old base programs on economics thanks to adding theoretical and practical modules on technology entrepreneurship and innovations.

This course is a part of events’ plan on modernization of the Russian engineering-technical education from the point of view of innovation development needs of Russia. It serves as development of basis innovation competencies not only by managers, but also by a wide range of engineers, scientific workers and inventors for complete and effective realization of a potential of Russian technology developments. Besides, it is focused on learning students of technology and natural sciences professions with main principles of innovation ecosystem functioning.

This year as experimental Universities for educational course implementation have been chosen 5 Universities: the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the National University of Science and Technology "MISIS”, the Moscow State Mining University, the Samara State Aerospace University, the Ryazan State Radioengineering University. Students’ education on the course program has been started in the beginning of October.

The idea of creating the educational course belongs to the “RVC”, which also provides financing and intellectual support of its development and implementation.

The National University of Science and Technology "Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys" has been chosen as the developer of the course within the limits of a contest, organized by the “RVC”. This course has been based on the master program of the National University of Science and Technology “MISIS” on commercialization and technologies transfer, adapted by bachelors. Learning and teaching association of educational organizations in the sphere of metallurgy and materials science has recommended implementation of this educational course in technological Universities in Russia.

“Recently in Russia is actively formed modern sphere for creation and development of technological companies. But all these efforts will be senseless if in science and economics does not enter investigators, who are not only talented in science, but also oriented on effective practical realization of their development, invention, creation of new technology solutions and products. This is why we make emphasis on cooperation with leading technology country Universities in order that in these Universities from the first courses talented students had an opportunity to enter the modern innovation economics”, - said director of the Department on strategic communications of the “RVC”, JSC Yevgeny Kuznetsov.

With the help of the “RVC” the leading Russia Universities during already several years develop and realize preparation programs for students-managers of “innovation” specialization. Initially the “RVC” has supported launch of a range of educational programs on innovations management in the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology State University, National Research University “Higher School of Economics” and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
