Mordovia pushes 30 investment projects, puts together high-tech park

In 2013, Mordovia in the mid-Volga area has been pushing about 30 investment projects that have already led to the creation and modernization of 714 jobs in the region, the official Mordovia Government portal announced. Between January and September, about $23m was invested in a range of joint and domestic efforts. For example, one of the successful joint projects is NEPES RUS, a JV between Mordovia and Korea. Production of LED-based lamps has been set up, tapping into the Korean partner?s advanced CAP LED technology. Two months ago, the Mordovia high-tech park project was selected as a priority one for the entire Volga Federal District (which includes 15 Russian regions). At the moment, the new techno-park, which is being developed, already has 34 resident companies employing 979 new staff. There will be more residents next year as the park project unfolds, the Mordovia authorities said. Back in July, a local Center for Experimental Production was launched to offer future techno-park residents space and production capabilities to set up shops and create ?clean rooms...
