20 startup-companies, which offer biomedicine projects from all over the world, with support of the “RVC”, JSC, the business-incubator “Ingria” (Saint-Petersburg) and Canadian-Israel company “Martal” in the period of November, 17-20, have taken part in intense educational program-training, focused on getting acquainted with ecosystem of Israel.
During the first three days guys have visited offices of the Fund “Docor International BV and Tradelines”, technological incubator of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Ariel Univesity, accelerator StarTAU, startup-hub of Tel-Aviv and other objects of innovation ecosystem of the country.
In this educational program took part 2 projects-semifinalists of the contest BIT-2013, participants of the acceleration program Generation S – project DiaPark – system for early diagnosis of the Parkinson disease, and WiseSoil – energy effective technology for getting eco-friendly clean fertilizer from organic waste.
Razina Nigmatullina, who offered at this program the project DiaPark, has said about its experience of entering this training: “Accelerating program Generation S became very important event in development of our project – we have heard much useful, got acquainted with huge amount of mentors, who have been invited by the company RVC – all this gave great move to our startup. The conducted course of getting ready to accelerator under control of Finnish partners has worthy prepared our project for possible enter on foreign market. I am very grateful to the “RVC”, JSC for the fact that they offered an opportunity of participating both in acceleration program, and gifted certificate on educational program in Israel, where we have received much information on how properly to present our project and what moments to make focus during the presentation, we knew all infrastructure of Israel on how Startups are made here – a very useful experience, it became more clear how to enter the foreign market”.
Aleksander Smotritsky, WiseSoil, noted: “For me all this time that includes semifinal “Generation S”, final of the acceleration program. Training in Israel – all these activities have combined together, because this is a unique trio, which accelerates the project and allows contacting with more professionals from various spheres. For example, today I have received a business card of a director from one of venture funds – this is a great opportunity to develop own project and make a startup to be an acting business. I am grateful to “RVC”, JSC and business-incubator “Ingria” for the offered opportunity, which a little bit widened my idea about what foreign investor needs and how to work with it”.
The leading specialist of the company “Ariel R&D”, a company of technologies transfer of the Ariel University Center (Israel) Eleonora Shkolnik has shared her opinion about the program: “I think that 4-days seminar is called training for a reason, because it is full of practical communication with speakers and companies’ representatives, which we have visited during the program; Startups, which came here, possess a defined experience in a Startup-industry, have scientific basis, and it is very pleasant for us. The main aim of the training is to solve the main problem of Russian Startups: market understanding, entering the level of international companies, learning of cooperation opportunities with ecosystem of Israel”.
In the last day participants of the program have visited the 15th annual symposium on medical robotics – international; conference in Israel, in which take part scientists, entrepreneurs and Startup-companies.
