FIEP refused financing the project by nanotechcenter in Stavropol

Supervisory Board of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (FIEP, which enters the “Rosnano” Group) has taken decision about rejection of the project financing on establishing the “South nanotechnology center” in the Stavropol region, informed on Monday the “Rosnano”, OJSC. Reason of such decision became non-fulfillment of a range of key terms by applicant’s team, - explaines the message.

The project of establishing the nanotechnological center in Stavropol has been selected in 2011 in the course of a competition, conducted by the Fund of Infrastructure and Educational Programs. It was planned that this nanotechcenter will be specialized on several branches: nanomaterials, nenobiotechnologies and nanoelectronics.

The FIEP and Administration of the Stavropol region in January, 2012 have executed the investment agreement on the nanocenter establishment. Twp Stavropol enterprises became co-investors – State unitary enterprise "Management company of investment and innovative development of the Stavropol territory” and the GUP "Guarantee Fund to support small and medium businesses in the Stavropol territory, and also Scientific-manufacturing concern “ESKOM”, OJSC. Total cost of the project exceeded 1,3B RUB, more than 800M RUB of them should have comprise investments of FIEP.

The main aim of the nenotechcenter establishment is development of institutes for commercialization of scientific researches results. The key peculiarity of established centers is concentration in one place of technology equipment and competencies on incubating small innovation companies (marketing, management and information support).
