Pervouralsk New Pipes, a sizable pipe maker in the Urals, has been granted a patent for its new technology that extends the service life of pump-compressor pipes by five times. The news was announced by Chelyabinsk Pipe (or ChelPipe), a large group of companies that incorporates the factory in Pervouralsk. Pervouralsk New Pipes is now Russia?s first pipe manufacturer to apply thermal diffusion zincking to pump-compressor pipe couplings. In the process, zinc powder with nanocrystallized structure of particles is used. At the heart of the technology is a brand new type of zinc powder for thermal diffusion zincking, whose particles are covered with nanocrystalline oxide film.
