Natalya Kasperskaya bought the company from her deputyInfoWatch acquired Appercut Security company, established by its deputy director Rustem Khairetdinov. Appercut Security develops products for the automated search of bookmarks in business applications. The transaction will be carried out through the exchange of shares between the shareholders of both companies. The details of the deal were not disclosed.

2010 Appercut Security was established in 2010 and engaged in the development of software solutions for automated business products’ source code analysis for vulnerabilities that were intentionally introduced into the code or appeared a result of developers’ carelessness.

The turnover of Appercut Security in 2012 will be about $2M in customer’s prices, and in 2013 it is planned to increase it to $5M. The company has 10 completed pilot projects and five customers in the domestic public sector and dozens of its online service’s users in the United States and Canada.

Interestingly, that the head and founder of Appercut Security Rustem Khairetdinov is also the deputy CEO of Infowatch Natalya Kasperskaya which acquires a stake in Appercut Security, cnews.ru says.

According to the company, Appercut Custom Code Scanner will now be promoted under the brand InfoWatch.
