Former technical director of Facebook created Quip for joint working on docum
The Company Quip, founded by the former director of a social network Facebook based on technologies by Bret Tailor, prepared a launch of a text processor, which is intended for joint editing of documents.
According to the Company`s representatives, they are focused on creation of a set of productive instruments for mobile age, for working at common computers and mobile devices. At the moment an application for iOS is launched, and for the Android platform only initial demo version of an application is available.
The Company is developing due to venture investments ($15M). Mr.Tailor`s partner is Kevin Gibbs, former chief of a Google team on engine GoogleApp development. Mr.Tailor writes about the launch of a demo processor in his blog, holding up as an example the first test editor Macintosh, turning out in 1984 – according to him, for the last 30 years in the sphere of such kind of software there were little changes.
