Composit Electro has received Skolkovo Participant statusComposit Electro Company that was created for the energy research projects implementation, has received Skolkovo Participant status. The energy-efficient high-voltage cables with composite core for the power industry project joined the energy efficient technologies’ ranks. Composit Electro is a Galena’s subsidiary, RUSNANO Project Company.

Developed wire will reduce distribution losses by 30-40% and increase the capacity of the line - Eugene Nikolaev, Composit Electro General director said. - It can replace the steel-aluminum wires and become a cheaper alternative to the existing foreign analogs with a composite component.

Research Project brought together Russian and international experts from different industries. Galena’s partner - national developer of composite materials - is Dutch KEMA, Russia's leading experts in the cable industry, experts from Karpov NIFHI Institute, Italian Glass Top and French Institute for Materials Science. Presentation, devoted to wire creation was introduced to the power grid companies within Innovation Priorities of Network Companies Roundtable, held on February 28 at the Skolkovo Management School in Moscow.
