RVC supports the first summit of Russian technoparks The first summit of Russian industrial parks Technopark 2.0: Model of sustainable development. Improving the efficiency of current activity took place on June 26, 2013 in Moscow with the support of RVC. The summit took place as part of an advanced training programme of technopark specialists initiated by RVC JSC.

The summit involved managers of Russian technoparks, heads of ministries in charge of innovation infrastructure projects, innovation development experts, representatives of infrastructure organizations. The event was organized by the NRU Higher School of Economics and the Association of High-tech Technoparks nonprofit partnership.

The key theme of the summit was finding ways and tools to increase the efficiency of Russian industrial parks that experience a lack of promising residents, strong administrative staff and effective monetization models.

The amount of money in venture funds increased rapidly in the last three years, however, most of the venture money was invested in IT and e-commerce. The market faced surplus of money, which indicates its systematic imbalances - Evgeny Kuznetsov says, the Director for Strategic Communications of RVC. - I believe that industrial parks should become the main investor partners, and innovation ecosystem should be created for them. RVC has a number of tools: seed fund, Infrafund, a market development programme, and we stand ready to assist through various projects.

European states rely on technology parks as a basic structure for the industry and regional clusters growth. Technopark in America is an important element of the regional economic growth strategy, and the basis of the university innovation infrastructure. - Anastasia Turina, the head of the HSE Innovation Center emphasizes the importance of the summit for the Russian innovation community.

The Summit also involved the leaders of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, RVC JSC, the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs of Rusnano JSC, leaders of Russia’s successful technology parks from Novosibirsk, Kazan, Moscow, Zelenograd.

It is planned to conduct at least 10 events for 200 experts of business incubators and technology parks from 15 regions of Russia within a year.
