Yahoo acquires Xobni for more than $60M

The Yahoo Company announced about acquisition of Xobni service. Initially it was stated that transaction amount was more than $30M, however according to TechCrunch, its amount was 2 times larger and exceeded $60M (more than likely its amount reached $70M).

Xobni is a developer of a plugin for Outlook, which makes a profile on every person you have ever had a correspondence with, where it shows contacts and connections with other people.

The plugin creates contact profiles in the address book. Such profile includes fast access to all conversation, applied files and other useful information about communication history with a person. Besides, directly from Outlook it is possible to select correspondence with a user and call him via Skype.

The total amount of funds, attracted by the Xobni Company before acquisition, was $42M.

A list of investors of the company includes First Round Capital, Khosla Ventures, RRE Ventures, Baseline Ventures, RBC Venture Partners, Relay Ventures, Cisco, Atomico and a range of investors-angels.
