Cognitive Technologies, a Russian developer of office automation solutions, has created and installed at Russia?s Social Insurance Fund (SIF) its smart system for mass data entry and processing, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported. In addition to facilitating extensive e-database management, the system now enables the government body to recognize and process paper documents with what is known as ?complex background,? with relevant text information placed upon official stamps and notes, watermarks, piled paper, etc. SIF routinely processes as many as 50 million documents a year. The Cognitive Technologies team has developed its Cognitive Guilloch?, a software module for recognition of business papers with such complex backgrounds. ?The system is capable of processing tens of thousands of documents a day...
