“C3D Labs” became a resident of the “Skolkovo”

The company “C3D Labs”, which enters the Group of companies “ASKON”, became the resident of the innovation center “Skolkovo”. The project of the Geometric Modeling Kernel C3D commercialization, which is the basis of a famous CAD-system KOMPAS-3D, has passed a serious expert test and been recognized to be corresponding to all criteria of the “Skolkovo” Fund.
Oleg Zykov, director of the “C3D Labs”: “From the very beginning of the project on the Kernel C3D entering the market as an independent product, we believed in success. High estimation from independent and authoritative resource has strengthened this belief: 9 of 10 experts considered our project to be really innovative and possessing commercial potential on the global market. Such recognition together with advantages, receiving by residents of “Skolkovo”, whether tax deductions or marketing support of the Fund – is of great importance to our team”.

The Geometrical Kernel C3D is a key component for creation of engineering systems 9CAD) and its applications, settlement systems (CAE), systems for managing programs preparation for NC machine tools (CAM), modeling of technological processes. Since the moment of development in 1995 and till 2012 the “ASKON” used the Kernel exclusively for its own needs as a component of CAD KOMPAS-3D. Last year the “ASKON” has opened the Kernel C3D for licensing by the third developers. The team “C2D Labs” makes development of the Kernel and its promotion on the market.

Even now the “C3D Labs” started active cooperation with several residents of “Skolkovo”, and in future the company plans to open office in the innograd “Skolkovo”, which will complete the existing development center in the Moscow region Kolomna.
