Open Innovations Forum started in MoscowThe International Forum for Innovative Development Open Innovations started in Moscow today to become a global platform for the representatives of business, government bodies, education and science from around the world to discuss global trends in high technologies.

The main outcome of the forum should be the confidence of foreign scientists and enterpreneurs in cooperation with Russia in the field of high technologies, the head of the organizing committee of the forum, Deputy Prime Minister Vladislav Surkov says, who also noted that the innovation sector is very important for the development of the country, as it can bring large income to the economy.

I think that the main thing to happen on the forum is that a lot of people (abroad) realized that the cooperation with Russia can be beneficial in the most literal, material sense - Surkov said.

The forum will last until the 2nd of November; it was organized by leading Russian development institutions - Rusnano, Skolkovo, RVC, Vnesheconombank, the Fund for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and technology and the Moscow Government, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation. It is planned that the forum will be held in the Russian capital on annual basis.
