An industrial park to be built in Zheleznogorsk this year

Krasnoyarskiy region is going to apply to the Russian Government for creation of an innovative cluster in Zheleznogorsk. Within the recently completed Krasnoyarsk economical forum the construction of the industrial estate is expected to begin in 2012. Design estimates of the industrial park have already been claimed and underwent examination.

“The task of the Russian Government is to choose several different pilot projects, different in contents” - Denis Kovalevich,Executive Director of the Foundation of the cluster of nuclear technologies "Skolkovo" says. He also says that Zheleznogorsk has one advantage – there are two branches in here, which have a significant position in the global market. Information Satellites Systems of academician M. F. Reshetnev Ltd, which produced 12% of world satellites, as well as Mining Chemical Factory – the key player in the closure of the nuclear fuel cycle.

In the end of December, 2011 it became known that 7B rubles is required for the creation of the industrial park in Zhelezniirsk, where 4 B will be provided by private investors (they will invest in equipment and provide working capital), and 3 B will be allocated from the regional and federal budgets.

The implementation of a complex project to create the cluster of innovative technologies in Zheleznogorsk by 2016 will create at least 30 industrial enterprises, as well as more than 3 thousands new working places. The total cost of projects in the field of cosmic and nuclear technology innovation cluster in Zheleznogorsk by 2020 will amount to more than 110 B rubles.
