CIS Partnership for Innovation road-show to take place in Kiev

CIS Partnership for Innovation road-show will take place in Kiev on March 12-14 2012. The event is organized by the International Nanotechnology Innovation Center of the CIS (InINCIS), Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) and the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization of the Ukraine with the support of the Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation (IFESCCO). Insiders Communications Group is the operator of the event.

The main feature of the road-show format is organizing a series of outdoor events in key cities of the CIS, where the presentations of the participating organizations, educational and informational activities, as well as meetings with potential partners are held.

The road-show events will be held at the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization of the Ukraine, Shevchenko Kiev National University and the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, where leading representatives of the InINCIS, JINR, JSC Russian venture company, RUSNANO, the Fund and the Open University Skolkovo, Rossotrudnichestvo, Dubna nanocenter, Insiders Communications Group and other organizations will carry out educational seminars and an open lecture. The following topics will be covered: integration into the global innovation system; the experience of organizational and legal support for innovation in the world and in Russia and its applicability for the CIS countries cooperation; business innovations and new media; venture capital ecosystems building experience in Russia and prospects for integration with partners abroad; Skolkovo Open University as a tool to attract talented young people into the orbit of Skolkovo Innovation Center; the development of creative abilities as a component of innovation and others. The teachers and students of the Ukrainian universities, specialists of innovative companies and research centers will also participate in the road-show.

The program presupposes a number of business meetings between the representatives of Russian and Ukrainian innovation community and a visit to the National Academy of Sciences of the Ukraine.

The event continues a series of InINCIS events in Commonwealth countries and aims at integrating research and innovation activities within the CIS, promoting youth mobility, attracting innovation projects from the CIS, training in technology commercialization. Cooperation in the field of innovation is becoming a key activity in the space of the CIS member states. Exchange of practical experiences, the possibility of open dialogue with the representatives of leading innovation companies and research centers of the Commonwealth countries, aimed at finding prospective partners and reaching a preliminary agreement on cooperation - these are the goals defined by the participants.

Road-show in Kiev is organized with an emphasis on information and education program, and this makes it stand out in a series of InINCIS events developing cooperation in innovation. We expect that this form of cooperation with our Ukrainian partners will be an effective tool for networking in the CIS, - Mr.Ruzaev, the InINCIS director, the JINR Deputy Director for innovative development says.

The first CIS Partnership for Innovation road-show was successfully carried out on December 7-8, 2011 in the Republic of Azerbaijan on the basis of Baku State University. About 350 professors, postgraduate students of Azerbaijani universities, the specialists of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences took part in the event.
