Tomsk Innovation Forum has been postponed for the second time

INNOVUS was originally planned for May 2012 and its theme was Russia's integration into the global economy, but then it was decided to postpone the forum for November. No direct explanations were given, but experts made the assumption that this was due to some changes in the government of the Russian Federation and the incomplete formation of the regional government in March when new governor Sergei Zhvachkin came into office.
The forum has been postponed again - for May, 2013. According to Pushkarenko, the decision to postpone the forum for the next year was taken by the head of the region. The forum itself will take place in May while some events will take place in November, - Pushkarenko said. Among these events are a forum on energy conservation and a Russian-German conference on the development of pharmaceuticals.
The Fourteenth Tomsk INNOVUS forum took place in Tomsk on May 26-27, 2011. For two days the representatives of the federal ministries, regional authorities, business and international experts discussed the theme: Innovative Russia - 2020: How to launch the economy of knowledge. The main aspect of forum’s program was the strategy of innovative development of the Russian Federation till 2020. The forum was attended by more than three thousand people and it is a record number of participants (there were three times less in 2010).
