Samara forum participants to discuss projects of innovation clusters

The participants of the sixth inter-regional economic forum Samara Initiative: cluster policy, which opens on Thursday, will discuss the results of the competitive selection of pilot innovative regional clusters at the federal level, a representative of Samara region Government told RIA Novosti.

The Fifth Forum Samara Initiative: cluster policy - the basis of national economy innovative development brought together about 800 delegates in 2011. The participants discussed the prospects of regional development as well as a new model of Russia’s economic growth within two days of the forum.

This year's central theme of the forum will be the results of the competitive selection of pilot innovative regional clusters at the federal level and terms of their realization. As a result of the competition, held by the Ministry of Economic Development, the application of Samara region on the formation of an aerospace cluster took the sixth place in the rankings and was among the winners. – interlocutor said to the agency.

A consulting area of the Economic Development of Russia will be organized within the forum for the winners of the federal selection of innovative regional clusters. The program of the forum, designed for two days, includes 19 events of different format and thematic focus.
