Rector of the HSE believes that universities should train innovators

He said about it in his speech at the recent forum Open Innovations in Moscow. According to Kuzminov, the graduates can be categorized in a pyramid: at the top of it are the scientists, at the middle - the innovators (those who can create something new at the workplace), and at the bottom are skilled employees working within a technology. And the key challenge for Russia in this way, as he says, is the question whether our universities are able to fill the bottom of the pyramid and train skilled employees.
The rector of the Economics University named the formalized procedure of admitting new students as one of problems Russian Universities face with: We do not know those who comes to us, - he said.
