Russian startup Dish.fm won Global Startup contestRussian company Dish.fm won Global Startup contest that took place within GMIC Silicon Valley.

Global Startup Competition was held in two stages: filing applications, 20 of which were selected as the best projects, and the finals when the winners of the first stage presented their companies to the jury.

Dish.fm Company was selected among 120 teams from 24 countries and was one of 20 finalists, 10 of which were at the seed stage just like Dish.fm, and 10 teams were at the growth-stage.

Dish.fm is a mobile application that helps you to find the most delicious food in any restaurant in the world. Dish.fm team has developed a new recommendation system based on the technology which analyzes millions of already existing restaurant reviews.

At present, the system of Dish.fm has analyzed three million reviews of restaurants in New York and San Francisco.

GMIC (Global Mobile Internet Conference) is the most influential annual Asian Conference on the mobile Internet held in Beijing since the spring of 2009. The GMIC also takes place in San Francisco starting from this year.

The main speakers of the GMIC Silicon Valley were the CEOs, founders and vice-presidents of companies such as Facebook, Google, Xiaomi, Electronic Arts (EA), Tencent, Evernote, Intuit, and investment funds Draper Fisher Jurvetson and DST Global. There were 153 speakers from around the world at the GMIC SV.
