Mr. Galkin did not disclose any terms of the agreement, nor did he announce the name of the Chinese partner in the JV. He only said that at the moment, FizTech-Energo only engages in assembling lighting fixtures from ready-made LEDs. The new production line will reportedly focus on the development and production of terminal leads, lenses and microchips for a crystal. The JV also expects to develop casings for LED lamps, lanterns and other lighting devices using LEDs. Crystals for LED production, however, will still be imported from international suppliers, Mr. Galkin said. Today, most LEDs are manufactured at Chinese and Taiwanese factories...
