A LED manufacturing cluster has been mapped out for the Tomsk regional special economic zone in Siberia, the website of Tomsk?s TV2 Channel reported last Saturday, citing a statement by Deputy Governor Leonid Reznikov of Tomsk. The centerpiece of the new ambitious program will be the local Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices (NIIPP), Mr. Reznikov said, adding that the actual construction phase is slated for next year.
