Russia?s inaugural digital X-ray microtomographic scanner production launched in Siberia

Tomsk State University (TSU) announced late last week that Tomsk Electrical Engineering and the local Semiconductor Instrument Research Institute (NIIPP) have jointly launched production of first Russian microtomographic scanners developed by TSU scientists. The partners are reported to have received orders for an inaugural 16 instruments. The first Russian digital X-ray microtomographic scanner has been developed at TSU?s Technological Management Center. Tomsk-based innovation companies, including Diagnostika+, EMS and Elecard-Med, are also said to have participated in the project.
