Third Tech Tour finalists

The Organizing Committee of the Third Russian Tech Tour announced 25 Russian companies selected to present to foreign and Russian investors. The total capital operated by the delegates of Tech Tour 2013 is more than €10B.

Companies selected to participate in Tech Tour are at different stages of development and represent a variety of technology areas.

The President of the Third Tech Tour Aynur Aideldinov comments on the Organizing Committee’s choice: Of course, the selected companies are among the best in Russia. I am satisfied with the results of selection, as we have managed to find companies at different stages of development and from different industries that most fully represent the Russian market. We have no outsiders, each company is interesting and promising in terms of investment.

Dmitry Chikhachev, the managing partner and co-founder of Runa Capital, guided the selection process: The selection process was not easy. Many Russian companies not just met all the competition requirements, but exceeded them, demonstrating strong performance in all categories of selection. This is another clear example of the rapid development of tech businesses in Russia. Tech Tour 2013 brought us a number of new companies. For example, Tatarstan companies provided great presentations. It proves that the creation of successful tech companies is possible not only in the capital cities.

Sven Lingyard, the president of the European Tech Tour told about the prospects of the Tech Tour participants on the international stage: The first Russian Tech Tour in 2004 that was organized by Alexander Galitsky, showed us such companies as ABBYY, Acronis, ISS, Parallels, SJlabs and Yandex. Tech Tour 2009, under the direction of Konstantin Fokin provided new market leaders such as Evernote and Alawar. The Third Tech Tour starts today under the leadership of Ainur Aydeldinov from IVF RT. No doubt that the new Tech Tour will confirm international potential of Russian companies.

The Third Russian Tech Tour will take place from the 23rd to 26th of April 2013 at the major investment platforms in Moscow and Kazan: Skolkovo, Digital October, IT Park. Event organizer is European Tech Tour Association; the co-organizers are RVC, Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, Pulsar Venture, Skolkovo Foundation and the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs Rusnano, JSC. The general partner of the project is Moscow Innovative Development Centre. Global partners: Egon Zehnder, Frederique Constant Geneve and Pictet. Bronze partners: Orrick and Morgan Lewis.
