Altair Capital and Moscow Seed Fund invest in SocialMart

SocialMart, a shopping recommendation service based on short impressions of friends, experts and owners, conducted another funding round and received investment from Altair Capital and Moscow Seed Fund. The transaction amount is undisclosed.

The startup received seed funding in the summer of 2011 from Yandex.Factory project winning the third Yandex.Start.

The current beta version allows you to share your impressions about the product, evaluate it, and create a list of goods and wishes. Users earn points for their activities, obtain statuses and badges, and become experts in product categories.

The application is integrated with Yandex.Market, so shops can place their offers on SocialMart free of charge if the offers are already available on Yandex.Market.
