The device is meant to help hunters, travelers, forestry workers and others exposed to the danger of contracting tick-borne infectious diseases. The Lyme disease is an infectious disease caused by at least three species of bacteria belonging to the genus Borrelia, and is a tick-borne disease. The test system includes a special fork to remove a parasitic arthropod from the human body.
