The finalists of IBM SmartCamp competition
The Expert Commission of IBM SmartCamp Competition announced five finalists including young and dynamic tech startups on June 13, 2013. The first applicant was the developer of a video analytics system Synesis. The company received a prize in the Smarter Planet category during Startup Village conference that took place on May 26-28 in Skolkovo, and get the opportunity to participate in the IBM SmartCamp finals out of the competition. Other finalists are: a developer of cloud solutions for the financial sector of RACS Company, a manufacturer of intelligent systems for medical diagnosis of the body state Intelmed Company, a developer of solutions for the diagnosis and monitoring the effectiveness of socially significant diseases treatment AngioSkan-Electronics and a provider of innovative energy saving solutions for the municipal utilities and oil and gas sector SinproTeK LLC.
Entrepreneurs will be able to present their projects to the jury, hear expert opinions, get advice on further development and discuss options for possible cooperation during the final stage of IBM SmartCamp, which takes place on June 17-18, 2013 in Moscow Digital October Center. The jury will include representatives of Russian and foreign venture capital industry, business leaders, industry and tech experts, leaders of IBM and RVC JSC.
One finalist selected out of five candidates will be announced following the competition results on June 18, 2013. The winner will participate in a three-month advanced mentoring programme by IBM, and will have the opportunity to present the project during the regional finals of IBM SmartCamp in Europe.

Each startup at its development stage faces a situation when it needs expertise and meetings with potential investors to assess the prospects of its project. IBM SmartCamp is part of IBM’s Global Entrepreneur programme introduced in Russia in 2012 in partnership with RVC JSC. The participation in the programme allows you to get free access to IBM’s software and hardware, technical support for the project, advice and assistance in finished product promotion in the market.
