A Moscow transportation authority is preparing to announce a tender for solutions to equip local buses and trolleybuses with free Wi-Fi, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported, citing a statement by Yevgeny Mikhailov, the first deputy director of Moscow?s Transportation and Road Infrastructure Development Department responsible for the project. Wi-Fi will be introduced across the entire city, including new districts, Mr. Mikhailov said. The Moscow Subway has already held such a tender for free Wi-Fi introduction. The winner is MaximaTelecom, a local telecommunications operator. By the fall of 2014 it is expected to complete installations on all the subway lines.
