Everon Biosciences, Incuron and OncoTartis, Russian biotechnology start-ups, presented their projects to American investors two days ago at the Russian Innovation Week, Russian Venture Company (RVC) reported. Boston, MA, and Silicon Valley?s Santa Clara, CA, are hosting the Russian Innovation Week between September 17 and September 20. Each of the three companies reportedly had four minutes to pitch their biopharmaceutical projects in an effort to convince the U.S. investors that their technologies are unique and worth pumping funds into. Everon Biosciences focuses on the development of drugs to delay aging. Its drug candidates are aimed at selectively removing aging cells from the human body. The start-up is said to have already developed its proprietary technology platform to look for chemical compounds capable of pinpointing aging cells. OncoTartis is working on the development of next gen anti-tumor drugs that would target the cancerous areas of the human body. The project aims to find a solution that could not only destroy primary malignant tumors but also kill newly growing metastases?a way of fighting recurrent and therapy-resistant cancers...
