The Vladimir region in the Volga area and Cuba are developing trade and research relations in a range of economic sectors. To add a new momentum to the cooperation, Emilio Lozada Garcia, the Cuban Ambassador to Russia, visited the region earlier this month and had talks with the local administration and legislators, Vladimir regional portal 33live.ru reported. The two parties inked a formal contract for the supply of 60 railroad cars made in the city of Murom some 130km south-east of Vladimir at a local company called Muromteplovoz. An increase in supplies is possible as the project unfolds. Other priority areas for cooperation that the Ambassador and the region discussed included the nanotechnology sector, agriculture, and tourism. Cuba also has plans to export pharmaceutical products to Russia. According to Vladimir Kiselyov, the chairman of Vladimir?s Legislative Assembly, ?Cuban companies are currently pushing the registration of new modern drugs and drug candidates unrivaled elsewhere in the world for export supplies to Russia; these include drugs to fight various cancers...
