National Research University “Higher School of Economics” conducts the Contes

National Research University “Higher School of Economics” in partnership with the Asset management “RWM Capital” and corporate investment direction “QIWI Venture” conducts the second stage of the Open Contest for innovation projects-2013 within the program “The Innovation entrepreneurship supports Fund” of the National Research University “Higher School of Economics”.

The main aim of the contest conduction is stimulating of the commercialization process for scientific developments and address support of authoring teams of the most perspective innovation projects.

The contest is conducted among companies-Startups and teams, which include not less than one attendant, scientific worker, lecturer or graduate of the National Research University “Higher School of Economics”.

From the side of the National Research University “Higher School of Economics” winners of the contest will be able to get:

• Financial support in amount of 150 000 - 2 000 000 rubles;
• Professional expertise of the project;
• Consulting and training services, required for the project development.

A list of consulting and training services from the side of the “Higher School of Economics” will be defined for each project-winner of the contest individually. The standard pack of services includes marketing investigation and market analysis, development of the business strategy evolution, financial and business-modeling.

With teams-winners of the contest will be executed agreements for services conduction and agreement on cooperation, which supposes opportunity of creation small innovation enterprises with participation of the “Higher School of Economics – Innovation”, LLC (representative of the “Higher School of Economics”).

The “QIWI Venture” is eager to invest up to 5M RUB; besides financial support winners will get professional expertise, consulting and training services on the project management. Within the contest will be conducted additional selection of projects on the program of cooperation with Universities of the Asset management “RWM Capital”, and winners will get the target grant from the “RWM Capital” for development of the business-plan of creation and realization of the project, sum of which, after taxes paying, will comprise 200K RUB.

Winners of the contest will be defined till October 31, 2013.

“Within the cooperation with the “Higher School of Economics” we plan not only selecting projects for investments, but hope that the expertise and training events, developed for the contest winners, will allow future entrepreneurs significantly increase quality of presentations and the project working out. We consider, that for Russian venture market it is very important by means of such contests provide authors of Startups with consolidated and practical information, directed on effective realization of their projects” – comments the Head of the “QIWI Venture” Sergey Ebich.
