MISiS, one of Moscow?s leading technology universities, has developed a superlight alloy for the 5G aircraft engines, MISiS announced. The university claims it has created an innovation technology for turbine blade and compressor manufacture. The components will be used in advanced gas-turbine engines for both civilian and military aircraft. The engines using titanium aluminide based blades are quite competitive with international analogs, the university said.
