The Accepting of MSU Science Park IT Formula applications coming to an end.

In several days the registration of the applicants to the IT Formula will come to an end. The forum is organized by MSU Science Park with the support of the Moscow fund of venture capital investment in partnership with the MSU Business Incubator and the MSU Economics of Innovation Department of Economic Faculty. IT Formula is an annual educational program for students and young specialists who want to try themselves in creating a startup. IT specialists with the projects, economic managers and programmers ready to develop ideas into real business are welcome to participate. This program was first launched in 2011.

The program consists of lectures and master classes from leading experts in the field of information technology and promoting IT products. The lectures cover such topics as IT industry trends, marketing and business modeling, Usability Project, protection of intellectual property, branding and PR and many others. In mid-March, all participants will be divided into teams. In addition to the lectures of projects there is going to be reporting sessions to the experts and the final competition will be assessed by the investment committee.

The application forms filled in according to the pattern are received till March 1. The lectures start on March 5. All participants are subdivided into 2 categories: people with the project ideas and people ready to join a team and develop the idea. The first category participants are to present their ideas to the program administration and team players until mid-March will choose a project to join to.

The last year finalists are such companies as Webils, Innorage and Web-constructor which received not only the grants for development but also MSU Business Incubator resident status. The basis for the IT Formula is another proven educational program of MSU Science Park with a similar name Formula for Success. The later has been carried out at MSU since 2004. Initially the program was developing on the basis of cases and advanced techniques of leading educational centers such as the University of Oxford, MIT and the University of California at Berkeley. During Formula for Success the cases of domestic innovation companies were created alongside with the pool of businessmen, consultants and trainers capable of effective developing practical skills necessary for promoting technology products.
