A Program of medical startups acceleration Formula BIO 2012

MSU Science Park in conjunction with Open University Skolkovo and Russian Venture Company present Russia's first accelerator of innovation projects in biotechnology and medicine Formula Organic.

The aim of the organizers is a comprehensive education and training of young professionals who can develop the technologies and designs of Russian research groups. A postgraduate educational program with leading Russian and foreign specialists has been organized for the accelerator.

Formula BIO consists of two parts: the educational program and working on real projects. It is planned to get startups high availability which will be potential participating companies of biomedical technologies cluster of the Skolkovo Fund and will be able to attract necessary funding from various sources. Best program participants will have the opportunity to visit biotechnology cluster in Boston (USA).

Graduates of leading Russian biological, chemical, medical, technical and management universities can become formula BIO participants. The participants will be trained by the world's leading experts in three main areas: business in life sciences (entrepreneurial course), the prospects for the development of science and technology (biotechnology course) and leadership development (personality course).

There is an extra division in three industry groups within the first two years: Biomedical Device Engineering, Drug Design and Delivery and Life Sciences Information Technology.
