Crocus and Kintech will jointly conduct research and development work in nanotechnology

Crocus and Kintech will jointly conduct research and development work in nanotechnology Crocus Technology Company and the Russian Kintech Lab will be conducting joint research and development work. The respective agreement between the semiconductors with magnetic materials leading developer and leading Russian scientific-research company has already been signed, according to a RUSNANO press release. Kintech Lab specializes in the development of new methods and integrated software tools for the predictive modeling of complex processes and devices in microelectronics, nanotechnology, new materials and energy.

Under the terms of this agreement Kintech Lab will develop the complex of computer programs and use it for detailed modeling of the Crocus TAS MLU™ memory elements. The results of modeling will provide a more complete and thorough understanding of processes occurring in the memory cells TAS MLUs accounting the nanoscale effects. As a result, the Crocus Company will be able to optimize the selection of materials and manufacturing technologies to improve the functionality and reliability of the memory elements.

The Crocus Company welcomes opening opportunities of cooperation with Kintech Lab for detailed modeling of our MLU technologies - Ken McKay, director of Crocus development of magnetic technology department said.

In May 2011 Crocus company has announced plans to invest more than $ 5 M to the Russian research organizations to develop advanced technologies and production solutions. The announced partnership with Kintech is the first step towards this task, in accordance with the agreements with RUSNANO about establishing the means of advanced magnetic nanotechnology components production and Russian science development.
