The first laser technology lab for 20 M RUR in Tomsk

The first stage can be called the core of the laboratory. It will include two more parts: the first related to the influence of the laser on the physico-chemical properties of substances, the second, which is now almost ready, is associated with the laser scanning. The first stage laboratory costs 20 M, the equipment laser scan laboratory (second stage) - 6 M... I think that we will manage th total of 50 M (all three phases), - he said.
Chubik noted that the establishment of a laboratory is funded by TPU and Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices (RISCD) for which the university is currently conducting research in the framework of strategic partnership.
He also pointed out that the universal use of laser devices of the new laboratory will allow to optimize the technological processes for companies before purchasing the equipment, to make laser welding and engraving. In addition, using the latest 3D-scanners polytechnics will be able to create accurate three-dimensional model with minimum error, including such complex and large objects as Tomsk municipal bridge (length of 750 meters), the monuments of wooden architecture, decorated with lace carving.
In his turn, the chief specialist of the project Alexander Iskrin told RIA Novosti that under making are the agreements on the establishment of 3D-models for the Tomsk Administration and two oil companies.
We will carry out supervision of the refinery construction in Kazakhstan together with JSC Omskneftehimproekt, we create a three-dimensional model of gas separating station Fedyushkinsky field in the Tomsk region (field structure of OC RussNeft ), - said Iskrin.
He explained that the advantage of a 3D-layout is the ability to reflect all the details of the design in a compact format, while in ordinary format drawings are non-compact.
Iskrin noted that the technology of 3D scanning and modeling is also widely used in mining, mine development, road construction.
