Council on the development of innovation created in Tyumen Region

The first meeting of the Council on the development of innovation in Tyumen Region took place in June 6, 2012.

The Council was held in the Hall of the Academic Council of Tyumen State Medical Academy, chaired by Mr. Krylov - doctor of technical sciences, professor, and honored worker of oil and gas industry.

The Council was established by the Government of Tyumen Region to consider issues and develop proposals for the implementation of a unified state policy on innovation in Tyumen Region, implementation of public support for innovation and high technology.

Opening speech was made by the Deputy Governor of Tyumen Region O. V. Zaruba, who said that each region has its experience, its elements, its solutions aimed at creating an efficient system of innovation. Among the elements is so-called innovative lift, providing certain sources of funding and a supporting system at each stage of idea commercializing.

A. G. Sannikov, the chairman of Tyumen Region Innovation Committee, presented a report on measures to stimulate innovation in Tyumen Region.
The meeting heard the suggestions and recommendations from the Council members. The protocol decision of the Council is being made, and it will be posted on the official site of Tyumen Region.

It was decided to support a member of the Board – the Director of the State budget institution West-Siberian Innovation Center A. V. Sakevich who suggested establishing of a working group that includes representatives from universities and will create an inter-agency (collective) center that offers particularly valuable and expensive equipment.
