Nizhny Novgorod region strengthens its position in innovation

Nizhny Novgorod region is one of the major sites in Russia to generate innovative ideas. Such opinion was expressed by the Director of Russian Association of Technoparks Andrei Shpilenko during a press conference on Volga 2012 youth business forum. He also expressed confidence that the forthcoming forum will bring a lot of specific contracts.

Shpilenok said that Nizhny Novgorod region is a residence of many young people who have unique ideas and actively promote them. A meeting of investors from Spain, Italy and France with regional developers will be organized within the forum to strengthen the innovation potential of the region. All projects will be scrutinized, so everyone will have a chance to test the viability of his or her idea before release it on the market, Shpilenok said.

Forum Volga 2012 will take place in Nizhny Novgorod from August 20 to 24, 2012. It will be an informal open forum for the generation of business ideas, presentations, development and promotion of youth entrepreneurship projects, career and personal development of young people. The total number of participants is 500 people from 14 regions of Volga Federal District. The forum will be divided into three sections: innovative, IT and tourism.
