5 innovative projects from Novosibirsk to compete for a grant of 1M RUR
The finals of the III All-Russian competition UMNIK on START took place from September 9 to 15 in Ryazan Region. The program is organized by the Foundation for the Promotion of Small Innovative Enterprises in science and technology.
The competition UMNIK on START is for young scientists and entrepreneurs who realize their own innovative projects. The main goal of the program is to stimulate the establishing of startups among youth.
The projects for participation were accepted according to five research areas: information technology, medicine of the future, advanced materials and their development technologies, new devices and appliances; biotechnology.
More than 1000 nominees took part in the qualifying stage. 220 authors of the best projects from 40 regions of Russia reached the finals and 5 of them were from Novosibirsk. They are projects such as: STOLP – a platform for cognitive analysis; Photocatalytic sorbing Materials for water and air purification and the production of items for chemical protection; The optoelectronic measuring system for measuring geometrical parameters of hot and cold steel; Digital sight for small arms; an industrial complex for certification of fuel cells components.
Contracts for research and development work will be signed with the winners of UMNIK on START. The amount of funding for each contract will be 1M RUR.
An educational program is provided for the participants in addition to the main program and aimed at improving the skills of young entrepreneurs: a series of lectures on the development and presentation of business projects, the management of intellectual property, the basis of establishing and managing of small businesses.
