The IV Youth Innovation Convention in Rostov ended

The IV Youth Innovation Convention in Rostov endedMaster classes for the sale of innovations, the discussion of modern science, a panel of independent experts and various scientists, meeting with inventors and, most importantly, an exhibition and competition of the best projects of young inventors and innovators from across Rostov region – it is all about the IV Youth Innovation Convention.

Young scientists, graduate students and young inventors of leading universities of Rostov region met on September 13 and 14 at the business forum on Don in order to determine the best in their field.

The best innovative ideas, products and projects were selected by the regional panel of judges headed by the deputy chief editor of Expert Dana Medovnikova. Note that the committee included the representatives of all Don Universities, design offices and scientific institutions.

More than 100 contestants claimed for 9 nominal prizes of the Governor of Rostov Region Vasily Golubev.

The 1st place in the category Best Innovative Product went to Andrew Zagrebnev with his project Low-profile phased array of hemispherical scanning for satellite communication systems (Rostov-on-Don Scientific Research Institute of Radio). The 2nd place was awarded to Yegor Karyukov with his project Technology of silicate bricks using nanostructured modifiers (Southern Federal University, Science and Design Technology Bureau Pezopribor). The 3rd place went to Ilya Panenko with his project Technological controller of devices’ current for microplasma oxidation (South-Russian State Technical University (Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute), LLC, NPP MagnetikDon).

Anastasia Nikashina won the 1st place in the category Best Innovation Project with her work Preventing children disability through prenatal diagnosis of CNS disease of fetus and newborns. Anastasia presented Rostov Institute of Obstetrics and Pediatrics of the Health Ministry of Russia. The 2nd place was won by Peter Yatsenko and his project Digital sowing machine (Azov-Black Sea State Agroengineering Academy). The 3rd place was awarded to Peter Pivnev and his project Mobile high-performance sonar to survey submerged structures (Technological Institute of Southern Federal University, Taganrog).

The 1st place in the category Best Innovative Idea was awarded to the project of Mithat Hasanov A method of early diagnosis of cancer pathology (RostGMU of the Health Ministry of the Russian Federation). The 2nd place went to Golovacheva Elena with her project The creation of a flaw detector using nanoantennas (Rostov-on-Don Research Institute of radio). The 3rd place went to Roman Yakovenko with his project Energy-technological complex for producing synthetic motor fuels from coal (South-Russian State Technical University SRSTU).

Summing up the Innovation Convention, the Deputy Governor Igor Guskov noted that the Government of Rostov region will continue to support young people engaged in scientific activities.
