New residents of MSU Business Incubator

Business Incubator MSU held a regular competitive selection of baby businesses for the right to obtain the resident status. As a result of the selection, which was attended by experts from leading venture capital funds, five companies will join the business incubator.

Over 160 applications were filed for the competition, but only 25 of them were admitted to the semifinals. Another 10 companies of that number have been dropped, and only 15 projects proved their potential in the final to the experts from Runa Capital, Almaz Capital, Yandex, Troika Dialog, Fast Lane Ventures, as well as to a well-known business angel Igor Ryaben'kii.

Startups got two minutes for a presentation and not all participants fit into this limited timeframe.

In the end, according to the unanimous decision of the jury, the new residents of the business incubator MSU were: delivery management service Smart Courier, inflatable solar power stations SunEyes, feedback service for mobile applications Inventarium, Product Test, mobile applications market for small and medium businesses AppNow.

In addition to 15 declared candidates, there was Skolkovo resident Naturage – a drink with antioxidants from roots of Siberian larch. All members of the jury were given prototypes of the future product - finished bottled beverage.

According to the manager of Product-test project Ayupov Almaz, the project will be closer to potential investors of Moscow region after joining MSU incubator: We have received an expert opinion from experienced IT professionals. We will improve the project based on what we heard. It was a valuable experience. Today the guys came back from Moscow and have already started work in Kazan IT-Park.

During the 2 year history of MSU Business Incubator the residential status was awarded to 10 companies. The turnover of its resident companies exceeded 20M RUR. The volume of attracted investments is more than 70M RUR. The market valuation of MSU business incubator’s companies is more than 225M RUR.
