Skolkovo allocates 30M RUR to Nano-Optic Devices
The Skolkovo Fund will allocate a grant of 30M RUR to JSC Nano-Optic Company - a subsidiary of Nano-Optic Devices, which is a portfolio company of the S-Group Ventures Fund, established with the participation of RVC’s capital. The grant is for the implementation of the project The Use of Digital Planar Holography in Integrated Optics related to the technology for the digital control of wavelength.
Recall that Nano-Optic Devices announced in 2009 the receiving of $2M from RVC and SGCM Limited Company, which represents the interests of Oscrivia, through venture capital fund S-Group Ventures.
Sergey Surenkov, the General Director of Nano-Optic Devices, noted that the unique technology of digital integrated optics, the foundations of which were laid in the U.S. by scientists who came from the Russian Federation, got Russian registration due to investments from venture capital fund S-Group Ventures in late 2009.
Michael Tsygankov, the CEO of the investment portfolio, a member of the Board of JSC RVC says: Nano-Optic Company is a good example of technology transfer in the international market. The implementation of such projects is consistent with the goals of RVC’s program in terms of Russian innovative industry globalization. The fact that the project of our portfolio company received a grant from the innovation center Skolkovo confirms the effectiveness of working together to develop the ecosystem of technological entrepreneurship in Russia.
