Russian startups to compete for the Runet Awards-2012

The Expert Club of Runet Awards-2012 has summed up the first round of voting and published short-lists in each of the six major and four special categories. A large number of participants in this list are domestic startups.

Recall that the first stage of voting was held from the 5th to 11th of November, 2012. A total of 651 applications were submitted to the Expert voting (109 participants reached the finals) and 435 - to the Popular voting. Now the Expert Council will vote on the formed short-lists to select the three winners in each category. The members of the Expert Council will work with the lists till the 17th of November, and announce the winners of the Prize.

Unlike the Expert block's winners, selected by industrial experts, the Popular vote winners are chosen by the Internet users. The winners of the Popular voting will be selected in three categories: Internet project, The Runet Community, the Game of Runet.

The awarding ceremony will take place on the 21th of November in ARENA MOSCOW and will be broadcasted live on Russia 24 channel.

The organizer of the award is Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC). The event is supported by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications. The co-organizer of the Prize is the Coordination Center for .RU and .РФ domains, the strategic partner is Rostelecom.

Runet Awards is a national prize in high technologies and the Internet that promotes outstanding achievements of the leading companies in the information technology and electronic communications, government and public organizations, businesses, as well as individual leaders who made significant contributions to the development of the Russian Internet segment (Runet).
