The finalists of Innovation in Russia Through the Eyes of Journalists – 2012 The final Media All-Russian competition Innovation through the eyes of journalists in Russia - 2012 jury meeting took place in April 27, 2012. It summed up the competition and generated lists of finalists and winners, the press service of the RVC reports. The winners of major nominations will share 1.3 M RUR prize fund, receive awards, honorary diplomas and gifts.

The National Competition is held by RVC OJSC for the second time in order to promote and encourage journalists and media covering the issues of innovation development of the country, as well as to attract the attention of the wider community to this issue.

The jury and the competition council that includes chief editors of leading business and news media, academic commentators and newspaper columns, as well as development institutes of the Russian Federation representatives, heads of the ministries of the Russian Federation press services, as well as the winners of the Innovation in Russia through the eyes of journalists - 2011 competition, noted the high level of the submitted works. There are 520 registered bids from 48 regions of Russia, and that is 3.6 times as many the number of papers submitted in 2011. The total number of participants was 250 people and that is 2.1 times many than in 2011.

It was difficult to choose the best project, the difference was sometimes a few tenths of points between the finalists and winners in some categories - Denis Viktorov, chairman of the jury, the chief-editor of Business Magazine said. - Young people actively cover innovative topics, which is a good indicator of the media development.

The winners of the major nominations will share the prize fund of 1.3 M RUR, and receive awards, honorary diplomas and gifts. Winners of Special nominations will become the owners of valuable prizes from the partners of the competition. In comparison with the first competition, completed last year, the total number of papers cast for the 2012 competition increased by three and a half and the number of participants – twice more, the number of partners – a half more, - Roman Kosyachkov, Head of Public Relations of RVC OJSC said.
