Belarus' most promising startups15 projects with the investment volume from $20K to $4.6M were presented at Minsk Startup Day, which took place on November, 15 in the framework of Belarusian Investment Forum.

The projects were selected from 150 applicants on a competitive basis. They are innovative ideas in different fields - information and communication technologies, alternative energy, agriculture, biotechnology, engineering, etc. The event is organized by The National Agency of Investment and Privatization and LLC Start technologies.

The winners of the event were announced in three categories. The most innovative project was a startup developing a drug against cancer Can 10B live by Dmitry Rudakov who said that the main goal is the synthesis of a more effective agent for the treatment of human brain and liver cancer compared to similar drugs. The method of boron neutron capture therapy of cancer, according to Dmitry Rudakov, can be related to nanotechnology, which uniqueness is the ability to be used in any form of the disease.

Seller Hit project of Roman Bugaev won the Strongest Team category. It develops a service to optimize prices for entrepreneurs who sell goods on the Internet sites. This highly specialized project will help more than 1.5M sellers of the world's largest platform Amazon to increase sales and profit from, the founder of the project says.

Most commercially promising project was a startup to build a plant for tire recycling and the further production of thermoplastics. Its author is Alexander Paleev, who believes that the new facility will produce import-substituting products with good export potential. The total investment required for the implementation of the project is EUR 7M. The authors of the idea have 80% of the required amount and the missing funds are expected to be received after the end of the investment forum.
