WhatsApp denies Google acquisition rumors

The management of WhatsApp Company has denied the possibility of selling its eponymous messenger to Internet Corporation Google, reporting that it does not negotiate the sale.

Last weekend, Digital Trends published an article saying that Google planned to acquire WhatsApp. It was reported that the two sides were in talks for over a month, and the deal value could be about $1B.

WhatsApp provides an alternative to SMS and MMS messages, sending text and images via the Internet. Client apps to work with WhatsApp are available for all major mobile platforms.
