Fursenko to be in charge of Skolkovo

The presidential aide, former head of the Ministry of Education Andrey Fursenko will represent the President in the Skolkovo Fund and will be responsible for the science city issues in the Kremlin. Izvestia newspaper reports it with reference to its source in the innovation city.

The Council on economic modernization and innovation development under the Russian president on May 17 will decide on the formation of a new board of trustees of the Skolkovo Fund, and the probability of the former Deputy Prime Minister Vladislav Surkov’s exclusion from the board of trustees is high.

Surkov was the vice-premier responsible for the state policy in innovation activities and was in charge of the Science City. Currently, he left none of the three councils: he is still a member of the board of trustees of the Skolkovo Fund, a member of the supervisory board of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and the deputy head of the supervisory board of Association of Innovative Regions of Russia.

The vice-president for External Communications and Advertising of the Skolkovo Fund Alexander Chernov told in an interview with Izvestia that the exclusion of Vladislav Surkov from the board of trustees has not been considered so far.
