Lower Volga researchers offer new cancer drug candidate

Saratov State University in the Lower Volga area announced earlier this spring that researchers at its organic and bioorganic chemistry chair have developed a new cancer drug candidate. The university has already obtained a Russian patent for the composition. The developers have come up with a new set of chemical compounds in a form of pharmaceutically compatible salts that are said to possess counter-tumor properties and can therefore be used in medical practice as a therapeutic substance to fight malignant neoplasms.
