Lower Volga researchers offer new cancer drug candidate

Scientists from Saratov State University in the Lower Volga area have developed their new cancer drug candidate; the university has obtained a Russian patent for the composition.

Saratov State University in the Lower Volga area announced earlier this spring that researchers at its organic and bioorganic chemistry chair have developed a new cancer drug candidate. The university has already obtained a Russian patent for the composition. The developers have come up with a new set of chemical compounds in a form of pharmaceutically compatible salts that are said to possess counter-tumor properties and can therefore be used in medical practice as a therapeutic substance to fight malignant neoplasms.
