Russia co-invests in Astrakhan IT Park in Lower VolgaThe RVC InfraFund and GK Pilot, a leading systems integrator in Astrakhan, in the Lower Volga, have co-invested in the development of the regional FABRIKA IT Park.

The RVC InfraFund, an infrastructure investment arm of Russian Venture Company, Russia?s fund of funds for innovation, and GK Pilot, a leading systems integrator in Astrakhan, in the Lower Volga area not far from the Caspian Sea, have co-invested in the development of the regional FABRIKA IT Park, the RVC website reports. Any investment amount has yet to be specified. The IT Park is said to have plans to use the money to develop consulting services for residents, including special catalyst programs for innovation projects. The project has been enabled through cooperation that RVC has established with the Astrakhan regional administration and players in the regional innovation ecosystem, Russian Venture Company emphasized. The catalyst programs will be the core of the project. The IT Park?s Supervisory Board will screen and select projects for participation in the programs. It is expected that by the end of this year FABRIKA will have established partnerships with five VC funds and about 50 angel investors...
