In Moscow, science and business collaborate in innovation for mechanical engineering

Moscow?s Russian Aviation Materials Research Institute (VIAM) announced earlier this month that it has inked a cooperation agreement with NefteTechnologii, a Moscow-based company, over innovation development in transport, mechanical engineering and aircraft-building. Under the terms of the agreement, the partners will jointly push projects aimed at creating and testing SMC/BMC type composite materials, making composite-based products on the premises of NefteTechnologii, protecting intellectual property, introducing advanced composite machining technologies, and putting together regulatory documents for widespread use of next gen materials, originally developed for military purposes, in civilian economic sectors as well. NefteTechnologii has broad experience in developing composites...
