RVC to help foster innovation in Russia?s civil engineering industry

RVC (Russian Venture Company) announced earlier this month the signing of an agreement with the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MSUCE) that calls for joint efforts in laying the foundation for developing innovation companies and technologies in Russia?s construction sector. The partners are now expected, among other things, to maximize the introduction of modern construction standards in the national sector, improve vocational training and re-training, and work out and lobby for sector-related legislative initiatives. A critical component of the new partnership will be joint initiatives in building infrastructure that would facilitate the spawning and development of innovation projects, RVC underscored. Short-term plans include some specific moves aimed at developing ?smart? and ?green? housing technologies, as well as intelligent systems for buildings. For example, MSUCE is expected to join Smart House, a federal pilot project that RVC has been pushing in partnership with the Russian Ministry of Economic Development...
